Strangers of Earth by Keisha Fladrick is a sci-fi dystopian mystery/thriller that will keep you guessing till the very end. This book is jam packed with action, romance, and intrigue. Each chapter is a new adventure that will keep you turning pages. The ending will leave you saying “what just happened” in the best way possible.
Written by first time author Keisha Fladrick Strangers of Earth throws out the traditional rule book of standard genres and creates a truly amazing tale.
The story follows Nyota a young woman who up until the beginning of the book had no aspiration for anything in life. It sounds terrible although neither did anyone else. Then one day everything changes. Nyota thought it was for the better but she was sorely mistaken. Her whole world is turned upside down and the ship she lives on becomes a war zone. Soon Nyota doesn’t know who to trust and she’s forced to make a horrific choice.
I won’t give away all the details because I hate when reviewers tell me the story plot. What I will say is if you like sci-fi, horror, mystery, or action adventure stories this book is for you. There is a small romantic theme to the plot but it doesn’t over shadow any of the other themes and there certainly isn’t a HEA. I rarely give out five stars however this book certainly deserves it. I loved this book.
As a side note the author says she is working on a sequel and I can’t wait to see what she has in store.
